Film predstavi združenje in priča o načinu dela v njem. Ujeli smo en dan seminarskega dela z učiteljema Davidom Gaffney-jem in Davidine Siaw-Voon Sim, z katerima združenje sodeluje že skoraj deset let.

Slovenian Association for Chenjiagou Taijiquan dedicates its existence and efforts to traditional approach to learning and teaching of Chen taijiquan, especially to the approach as being used by teachers in Chenjiagou Xuexiao School of taijiquan in the cradle of Chen taijiquan - Chen village, Henan Province, China. The film introduces the Association, and witnesses its way of work – camera’s eye caught a glimpse of one working day at a seminar with our teachers David Gaffney and Davidine Siaw-Voon Sim, with whom we in Slovenian Association for Chenjiagou Taijiquan work for almost ten years now. Both of them are senior students of masters from Chen village, especially of the grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing, and in the West they teach Chen taijiquan in traditional way. They are also the authors of three books about Chen taijiquan, which are widely accepted as basic literature about the art of Chen taijiquan.

Veliki mojster Chen Xiaoxing: Varuh ognjišča tradicije -Zadnji seminar zunaj Kitajske-//  Grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing: the Guardian of the Hearth of Tradition -The last seminar outside China-

Avgusta 2018 so v Tolminu, v Sloveniji, učenci velikega mojstra Chen XiaoXing-a iz celega sveta imeli priložnost zadnjič zunaj Kitajske vaditi Chen taijiquan pod njegovim vodstvom.

In August 2018 students of the grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing from all over the world had the last opportunity to work with him outside China at a 7-day seminar in Tolmin, Slovenia. He was assisted by his eldest son, master Chen Ziqiang, and three of his closest disciples. More then 70 people from twelve countries worldwide gathered to work with him at his farwell seminar, and underwent the well known and common working schedule of 6.5 hours a day of demanding work, during which they received his individual corrections. The training day commenced every day with 30 minutes of early morning standing pole exercise, followed by movement-by-movement indepth study of Xinjia yilu form, and ended by evening push hands learning and practice, taught by master Chen Ziqiang. As a guardian of traditional approach to learning/teaching of Chen taijiquan, to which he is dedicated all his life, grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing does not tolerate any shortcuts in the learning process. He also repeatedly stresses the necessity to learn and understand Chinese culture and philosophy, as a prerequisite for all advanced students hoping for further developing of their skill. The film bears witness to that nowadays disappearing traditional approach to Chen taijiquan teaching, and is made in gratitude to grandmaster Chen Xiaoxing for his lifetime work in protecting this traditional approach.
